I just had to try another painting on suede paper. I photographed this rooster in downtown Blue Ridge and love the way he seems to be looking out for the traffic before crossing the street.
I am a pastel artist living in Marietta, Georgia. During a career in social work and training, I focused on the ways that life experiences determine our identities and character. Each of us has a "story" that makes us interesting and unique. I have found that the same is true in the world of art. My primary interest is in painting scenes from nature in a way that reveals some of that story - the character as well as the beauty. I hope you enjoy my art and will join me on the journey.

Thanks. You have to give it a try. And it creates very little dust so is easy to use while sitting.
