And the homework resumes, now that Christmas has passed. I took this photo on a trip to North Georgia with my dear friend Holly. It was a natural choice for the homework assignment to paint rocks.
Well, I just took some paper and some pastels and a photo and then put them all together..... It would have been more fun if you were here painting with me!
I am a pastel artist living in Marietta, Georgia. During a career in social work and training, I focused on the ways that life experiences determine our identities and character. Each of us has a "story" that makes us interesting and unique. I have found that the same is true in the world of art. My primary interest is in painting scenes from nature in a way that reveals some of that story - the character as well as the beauty. I hope you enjoy my art and will join me on the journey.
